    Default Thunder Bunny Body Kit

Has anyone else seen the thunder Bunny Body Kit? Would it fit onto a GTI? I am assuming no because I know they don't have the same front lips.

Just the vents don't have fogs, I'll bet they have inserts for fogs.

I think the front bumper is bada$$, sign me up...but only if its less than $1500, which I doubt!

IIRC...both the kit on the thunder bunny, and the kit on the .:R GTI were both custom formed for VW. I forget the company that did it for them, but they were one off designs by the VW design team. Each kit was only made once. You can't buy them.

I just called Neuspeed and they said it was a VW part that was shipped to them, then I called VW (my local dealer) and they had nothing on record of any "thunder bunny" body kit.

I think this is out there for purchase, anyone?

There is reference to the Thunder Bunny kit for the Rabbit as well as the GTI in this month issue of DasAuto magazine from VW on page 56.

    It says:
Thunder Bunny kits are available in various groupings. You can choose
pre-installed options for the GTI and Rabbit, which vary slightly from one
another, or a la carte from your local Volkswagen dealer. The a la carte option
allows you to take these pre-painted or primered pieces and create your
very own complete or customized package for your Rabbit, GTI, GLI or jetta.
Visit your local Volkswagen dealer or drivergear.vw.com to order.
This sounds all very well and good but I haven't found it anywhere on drivergear anywhere.....

damn thing is way too expensive, it's well over 3 grand for the front bumper, the rear bumper and the side skirts. but damn it looks good.

Yeah, but if you look the side skirts are just the votex side skirts (or at least VERY similar). I'm really only interested in the front end. Would probably go with different stuff for the sides and front...eventually.

Yeah I think so...why pay $300 for either of those when that can go towards the thunder bunny kit for $1300 (for the front bumper). But again, probably won't do it until next summer. Buuut, it'll still need to be painted...oh decisions, decisions.
