    Default Defective Camshaft Bridge Screen

Hello out there. I'm new to this forum. I'm trying to find others that have had issues with a defective camshaft bridge screen causing major damage to their engine? It happened to my 2011 at 80,000 miles and caused $7400 in damage to my car. VW is accepting no liability (out of warranty) even though they knew about the defective part.

Haven't heard of this issue. That sucks. Pretty much every part of the TSI is defective though.

It's not very common but I'm aware of it happening to some people.

Man, that's bad and concerning as well... i found this online.

Cool stuff there and some upgrade parts to solve the problem. Talk to a tune shop as well. They might be able to pull a better pricing for you and do it in half time VW dealers would.
