Not bad at all. Buy a case on eBay, and swap over the blade, and internals.

Either like draggingframe said and go to ebay, But if you want more then one key. your going to need to go to a dealer to cut the keys and get fobs. Which is pretty damn expensive. Around 200 or 300.

I had to get a new fob mine was completely destroyed. I went to the dealership just because the internals were fried too. I get there and they tell me that you buy the top part and bottom part of the fob separately. So I paid around $330 just for the key and then 4 hours later when they finally had set it up with the car so that it would work, whatever they had to do with the computer system knocked out my cruise control... And they refused to fix it. Lol so my advice is to keep the internals on the one that you have and just get an eBay key setup. I am not saying that everyones VW dealership experience will be that bad but just letting you know.

Thanks guys, the only thing about it I'm worried about is switching over the chip that's inside of it, this is my first VDUB so I'm still figuring all this **** out but I love it!

Just take your time and be patient. I have to remove my battery from my old one and swap it out. Took a wile, and was a lot harder then I thought. Just take your time and use the right tools. (Flat head screw driver is essential)

Take your time, it's not hard at all. The chip comes right out.

If you get that far, and need help PM me, and I'll take step by step pictures of mine.

Boost sputter is probably coils and plugs...

I ran the codes and it said cylinder one had a miss fire so I changed the pack and its still doing it, could it be a vaccume leak if so what's the best way to check for vaccume leaks?

How did the plug look? Also, it could be your wire harness that plugs into the coil. Higher mileage cars have cracked and corroded wires.
