    Default Oil Leak, PCV Valve

Hey everyone. Im fairly new to my gti, but ive been burning through oil like crazy. I did an oil change on 12/20/12 and today on my way to work i was empty. I work at a dealership and had a tech look at it and he gave me a weird noncomprehending answer but did say my PCV valve was bad. I took it to a VW dealer and they will be diagnosing the issue tomorrow. I have an 07 gti and the pcv "recall" has already been done to my car unfortunately it is broken again. My question is, i plan on going stage 1 or 2 in the near future. Is there another solution or do i just buy a new oem pcv valve and put it on? I have an Intake, dp, and a "D" valve.

    Thanks

Also. any ideas how im going through so much oil?

Get a catch can and delete the pcv altogether.

Yes, that would work. Also check out 42 draft designs.

And a word of advice, check your oil. I go through about a quart every 1200 miles depending on driving conditions, atmospheric conditions, and type of oil. Full oil = less likely to have cam follower issues.

Yeah I was burning through oil, replaced the PCV and haven't been burning through as much. Have a catch can waiting to be installed once it's warmer out
