Traded my gti for a passat....

But really, I took my gti to the dealer to get the brake calliper replaced or fixed, not sure what theyre going to do yet; and I was given a 2013 Passat for a loan vehicle as I had to get to work on time.
I could have scheduled an earler app, but I thought hey.. my warranty covers it, and it might be fun to try out another car? WRONG.
This car is so ridiculously boring I cannot stand it.
For one, its an automatic.
Two, it has awful visibility compared to my hot hatch.
The steering is so loose feeling, and you dont really feel as if you are driving the car, but its driving itself instead.
I felt as if I was going to fall asleep while driving down the free way!
I'm guessing its more of a mother type of vehicle or a 40plus year old man that wants to take it easy..haha.
Oh and to put the cherry on top they gave it to me with a quarter tank and I didn't realize it until I hit I-5

Wow your post title made me gasp! Thats too bad about the passat. Funny though, one of my 40ish year old female co-workers has one. I rode in it... meh. Like you said, pretty boring and it felt very "mom".

When ever someone asks now what I drive, I just say GTI. I think when you say VW prior, it kind of sets the tone that you MIGHT drive a "Take it easy" car... saying GTI just cuts to the chase. And if whoever you are talking to asks who makes a GTI... end the conversation!

I see potential for it being a decent car, 6spd manual, lowered on sport springs, turbo and tune.
But as is this car isnt for me and I miss my gti dearly..even though its been only a few hours haha.

I'll have coils in the next few months, my 18s back and powder coated, and my exhaust custom built.

That's just the basics. I'll be modifying b5 a4 lower fog lights to fit, get hids for my euro projector lights, fmic, tune, etc etc. Subtle stuff that will help set it apart essentially.
