    Default cuts out in boost

Trying to rescue this poor gti.The car runs great, drivin like grandma. Sonn as it hits boost it cuts out and falls on its face. Feels like a bad misfire but i scanned it witha solus scanner no misfire codes. I just got this car from my brother who gave up on it,so i don't know much about it. it has a 3" downpipe, forge 007,and a tune.He put in new coilpacks plugs and injectors from ECS tuning, still have same problem.Any help would be awsome, sorry i don't have more info.

I'm gona guess boost leak since you said it just cuts out. Have you checked the Diverter valve? Maybe it's busted.

Good luck, and I hope you figure out your issue.

Doesn't throw any codes? Hmm, could be bad gas, clogged fuel filter??

No misfire codes but (g70) maf signal low p0102,p1103,p1116.It needs a hood, headlights and front bumper so i can't really take it to the dealer.i work at a bodyshop so it will be straight soon, just have to get runnin right first. It feels like a misfire, bucks and pops kinda smells rich.someone said the turbo intake tube could be collapsing. If you accel slow through the (miss) it will hold 10lbs but doesnt feel healthy.I can only drive it around our shop so its hard to narrow it down. Thanks ya'll so much for your help.

Yeah, thats what the solus scanner said.Any info is good th ough thanks.I just found the empty boxes from the injectors, plugs and coilpacks. Are Ngk laser platinum plugs from ecs pre gapped? I'm sure he didn't gap them. The breather hose is completly rotten too.He says the 007 splitter is messed up also.

They should be, but it never hurts to check.

I just googled what the 007 splitter was. Given that that is messed up, I bet it's your problem. Seems to add up to me any ways. Boosts great until 10lb, then craps out and runs bad. I would assume your tune is stage 2 with the 3" down pipe. I'm not sure how much boost pressure a mk4 holds, but I would assume it's around 20 psi.

I'd look up how to clean it, fix it, replace it, whatever before I worked on anything else.

Im almost 100% sure that you have a bad n75 valve. 99/100 times that is the cause of boost issues.

Pull them out and gap them to .32 if you have no tune. .30 if you're stage 2.

It has a tune,we don't know what kind though.I know the forge splitter is bad he has ruined it messing with it,but seems to work just too loose.I think it would boost fine aside from the bad splitter dv and any leaks.Under a load or when boost starts it seems to misfire, the faster you push the pedal the worse it gets.If ya kinda ease into it its not sa bad but still terrible and if you stay with it it kinda evens out,but will only hold 10 lbs due to the bad dv i assume. It used to hit 20 and fall to 18,19ish. Im sure our scanner at work isnt the best but it should pick up a misfire i would think, its pretty nice. Thanks for all the info i need all i can get.
