    Cool timing belt

Hi everyone, I'm bran new here and iv got a quick question. When is the best time to change the timing belt on my car? It's a 05 GTI 1.8T. I got it in 06 with 15k miles on it. Now it has 78k.

Iv put Revo stage 2 chip, forge dv valve, eurosport CAI, 42DD 3" Turbo back exhaust, 4 bar fuel pressure regulator and a few other goodies into the car.

I have never had any trouble out of the water pump. Did VW have the plastic impeller problem fixed by 2005? Oh and its also got the original serpantene belt on lol.
Thanks for the help in advance!!

Ok. Will do. Thanks for the help man.

Iv also got one more question. I just changed my oil the other day ( Moble1). After which I noticed a small leak on the front of the oil pan. Looks like its comming from the seal on Where the pan meets the motor. Have you heard of this problem before? Is there a oil pan gasket replacement thread anywhere?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm new to this forum and havnt figured out Where everything is yet.

oil pan gasket is very straight forward

remove all the screws and oil return line then install new gasket and put all the screws back on

Well you kinda forgot to mention there is no real gasket. Just the sealant from VW and like the Victoreinz Reinzosil-t being an anearobic sealant not RTV.

The timing belt should be done every 60k miles. The ultimate kit from ECS has everything you need.

Ok Thanks guys. I called VW. $27.00 is high, but it will get done. Thanks. I'll be getting at the timing belt as soon as possible.
Oil return line comes from turbo correct? Is it pipe thread? No special tool here correct? Thanks Again.

Also, do these cars have special high pressure oil pumps that push the oil TO the turbo?

Wow, well this goes back to what I originally thought. Gasket or sealant is available. Going from experience with my other vehicles.
