What did you and your MKV do today?

This would be the place to post anything from a bath, a quick race, a new mod ordered or installed, a diy mod completed, or anything related to your day with your MKV.

This type of thread usually does well as everyone can simply post the things the two of you did on any given day and others will be able to inquire about the little things that are often left out.

So today I turned off the DRL's and switched the fogs to stay on when high-beams are on using vcds after installing a euro light switch. I still need to install a euro rear fog lamp received last week and then switch that function on. Also need to install a euro dash cubby from same shipment.

Already installed the W.A.L.K. bushings last week when they arrived and WOW, what an upgrade those are. I recommend those to everyone as they are the real answer to feel, control, traction, and nearly eliminated wheel hop without mounts (is what others said who are w/o mounts).

Also cleaned the p-flo filter and installed a new MAF sensor. Then went for a drive on a daily route and mpg went up from 26.5 to over 29mpg. Loved that!

And lastly ordered the rear hatch pop-kit, Fumoto oil drain valve, Red Lamin-x pre-cuts for the rear tail lamps, and two 8x7 sheets of smoked film for the side mirrors and front side markers that are already smoked but not to my liking. I'll take before and after pics when that install happens.

Went for a drive and was too 'skeared' to tempt a GTR to a quick pull. Thing was very mean looking and sounding. It was painted matte black w/black wheels and tinted windows. Plate read BAD GTR. Stance was so low the tires appeared to only be a few mm's from contact at all four corners.

After scheduling some time for a timing belt replacement, RS4 fuel rail pressure valve and cam follower install, dash cubby and rear euro fog lamp install, I got caught by a surprise dust devil in the middle of town with the windows down. Got blasted with sand and gravel all over the inside as the window was going up but not in time. So after getting home I gave the inside a thorough vacuuming. There was gravel and **** everywhere. I didn't really want to look at the new paint just yet... ;[

Today plastidipped the front emblem, plaid rear emblem insert and removed the gti badge on the front.

Gotta wash it soon!! Poor thing is dirty

Yesterday was last day of finals at my university and with nothing to do i went ahead and boosted the aesthetics of the dub and on a cruise through campus blew the doors off a kids acura integra. Here's a pic of the new look! Nothing major but I'm happy with how it turned out.

You could do it either way, I personally used VHT night shade. But, if your not good at spray painting I recommend purchasing - http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...arkers/ES5648/. Oh, and they look darker in person. :P
