Default 07 GTI, Just bought - Idle Rough and Check Engine Codes

I have an 07 GTI 6 speed. The idle is been hunting while idle. It goes from 1k and goes up slowly to 2k and drops back down to 1.
A check engine light came on and these are the codes:

P0507 - Idle air control system. RPM higher than expected
    P0300- Random multiple misfire
    P0301 - Cylinder 1 2 3 4 misfire
P0171- Bank 1 system too lean

This car is completely stock. What does this problem sound like?

    Thank you in advance.

Did troubleshooting on the PCV valve.

    Here are the results:

I think I did this right. I blew into the part that is disconnected. It felt like no resistance at all and the air was just passing through.

Here is a pic of the PCV. It looks like oil saturated the outside of it

Also, I noticed on top of the HPFP it looks cracked. Is this a cause for concern and in order to fix it would I have to replace the entire pump?

Would the failed PCV valve cause the issues I am having? What is the best and most cost effective way to resolve this issue?

    Thank you

    I would do this:
    1. Replace coil packs and spark plugs
    2. Get rid of the PCV and get 42DD's catch-can.
    3. Check for vacuum leaks and intake leaks.
    4. Clean the MAF.
    5. Pull the HPFP and check the follower.

Had 2 of the same symptoms with my 07, used MAF cleaner and fixed the P0171 and I also had rpm higher than expected and I had to replace the vacuum regulator and PCV valve
