I had the same problem on my 03 GTI. This retarded mechanic replaced my whole axel instead of just the boot. The axel he replaced them with were junkyard refurbished and kept breaking and wobbling until the axel he replaced three time shatered shooting bolts into my tranny. I went to VW and had them replace it, and its been good since. Be very careful cuz that can get expensive.

Idk what kinda mods you have possibly too much power for the oem/stock ones.
Is it your axle or your CV that keeps going?
