Want to put some new wheels on my vr6. Whats the largest size rim and tire I can safely install on my car?

Im thinking about a multispoke rim
the bolt pattern is 5x100
any info/suggestions greatly appreciated

Thanks

You Can Use 17in With 205 Or 215-45-17. They Look Good And The Ride Is Very Close To The Original. Can Used 18in. Too, With A 215/40/18, But The Problem Here Is The Clearance With The Wheel Wells, You Have To Meassure And Che The Back Spacing Of The Wheels. And Last, You Can Get Nice Wheels In The Oe Bolt Pattern, Unless You Looking For Somthing Specific. Hope This Help. Post Some Pics Of The New Wheels To How Looks. Good Luck.

i'd be really really careful with anything over 17's on a mkiii, I mean with 16's and a drop you can have a sex stance, so even drop springs with 18's may cause rubbing, but like vwvr6t said if ya run a small enough, low pro or even stretch the tire you may be able to pull it off

Try something like theses I wish I has the money to get some of these wheels but I dont. Get some BMW Style 5's and paint them black and that the lil billets dipped in gold

Looking at my plus sizing book it says that if you go with 16's you need a 205/40r16, with 17's you need a 205/40r17, and with 18's you need a 215/35r18. These fitments are designed so there is no possibility that you will rub with stock suspension. Hope this helps and good luck getting the look you want.

i had 225/40/18 on my car and tried putting 215/55/17 on my new rims but they touch in the front i recommend a 40 or 45 series
