I am thinking about getting some rims for my mkIV. however i dont know ANYTHING about rims, tire rack has some good deals but i know what cheap rims will crack. @ the same time i am trying to keep it under $1500 wheels and tires, shipped and all. please let me know what is good brand wise? (borbet, enkei, motegi, MSW, OZ Racing, Rial) thanks

pick up a set of Charlestons from CBursten or myself and some wobble bolts. You'll be the hottest dub in Charleston (pun intended). I dont think ive ever seen an MKIV pull them off. It would definately be in your price range and look killer.

It is Chris selling the Charlestons, not CB.
http://myfastgti.com/volkswagen/show...1200-9653.html He's in central VA, thats a do-able drive and those rims are HOT..!!!

if you really wanted to run those wheels, you could get adpaters to change the mkiv bolt pattern into the mkv....thats if you really wanted to.
