Default Shimmy on throttle

I have to take my car back to the dealer anyway to get this fixed i just wanted to find our if i can figure out what it is before hand so when they say nothing is wrong i can tell them otherwise.

anyway...when you get back on the throttle you can feel the car shake. and sometimes when the cruise is on it will do it when you hit the coast and then release it to get back on the throttle.

i thought it might be the cv joint. but i really have no idea. it could be a fuel thing, or god knows what.

any ideas?

could be a broken motor mount. Only on acceleration, right? Not when you let off the gas and coast?

well it mostly does it on acceleration. but sometimes when you have the crusie on and then you hit the set button so it coasts it will do it when the throttle disengages and then when you let go of the button and let it get back on the gas it will do it agian.

More than likely a motor mount.

damn...alright. i hope they will feel it then and fix it. i paid an extra 2500 on the car so i could extend the warranty 2 years and they always give me a hard time whenever i try to fix anything.

If it's under warranty, they should replace it. A motor mount breaking isn't considered normal wear and tear...

would a broken motor mount make it jerk on a downshift as well? cause no matter how much i ease into releasing the clutch as soon as its all the way out the car jerks like it would if you dropped it.

Tranny mount would lead to that... www.blackforestindustries.com Has a wide variety of tranny and engine mounts. Much better than stock.

ok i think im just gunna say screw it and buy all aftermarket mounts and put them in myself. but how many mounts are there? cuz on most sites im only finding one for the engine (passenger side) and one for the tranny (driver side) , and then a pendulum mount. thats from ECS Tuning.

http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...ategory=Mounts

and then on black forest they have tranny mounts, and dogbone mounts.

im a little confused as i dont know much about this...

help?

i wanna replace all the engine mounts and the tranny mounts. as long as they are just bolt on parts that i can do in my driveway.

You can do them, but you need to do 1 at a time, and support the tranny at all times. Your best bet would be to call the guys up at BFI and have them explain it to you. They know their product better than I do...
