I have a 88 GTI and recently I coundn't get the car into reverse. I found a broken bracket that secures it to the frame and replaced it. It feels better (tighter) but my same problem still exists. I am able to disconnect all of the linkage and move it into reverse by hand. Any advice and possible things to try next would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
