There are a couple. There is a VW meet in Severna Park at a ritas on tuesday nights and weve really just become a "whatever you got is cool with us" meet. And at Kmart one wednesday nights in Crofton off rt 3 thats anyone. Usually up to 50 cars at that one. If your not sure where either of these are you can PM me. Anyone is welcome.

There are bunch of s2k's out here where a I am. A few modded and most are stock, and all the drivers look like total douches. This one rooster lives right down the street from me, we pass each all the time and he never obliges in any courteous acknowledgments. Either because his car sucks and he knows it will be beaten or he thinks he the shizznitt. But I have to admit, that thing is LOUD!!

Don't feel like reading the 21 pages just wanted to share my S2k story.

At the track beat a stock'is S2k with atleast drag radials and "launch control"
I'm Apr stage 2, he ran a 14.8 I ran 13.9

I was quite supprised I beat an s2k by almost a second. Stock for stock tho these cars would be pretty close to equal.

That's because if he knew how to drive his S2000, he would've still ran a 13.7 stock. But for obvious reasons, he didn't. Nice kill by you.

don't care guys. this is gone on long enough.

s2000 vs. gti, what does it matter. if you raced one and won, good for you. if you raced one and lost.. good for them.

it doesn't really matter.

post the story and don't argue about it.

I would urge you to abide by Krypton's above post, and consider it fair warning.

Thanks I realize it had to be a bad driver his friend was running low 14's as well in a S2k. I think with a good driver 13's are very realistic for that light car. I don't really consider it a "kill" it was at the track and I just happend to line up against him.
I actually got my time wrong aswell I ran a 13.9 later in the day but was heatsoaked when running against the S2k, amazing what a bag of ice on the CAI and intake runners will do for your times.

Slip for S2k

Slip from best run:

From What He Described To Me Its Prolly The Seal Between The Rotor Housings ..... Or It Could Be The Oil Filter Housing Or The Sending Unit .... Not The Oil Cooler Or The Cooler Lines Since He Has New Ones .

Basically If Its Not The Sending Unit Or The Filter Housing Hes Gona Have To Pull Teh Motor

Psh my seals are holding like a champ, even bouncing off 8k in slides...

Think the leak is coming from between my rotor housing but they always seem dry... thinking MAYBE it's coming from a poor seal at the oil pan, or maybe i'm just being hopeful

I was on my way back from my sisters house when a yellow S2k rolled up Nice looking car so I was just giving him the thumbs up.. He downshifted and goosed it so I droped her into 4th @ 65 and off we went pulled about 1/2 a car when I had to slow down because of traffic. He got off at the next turn.. I think he was embarassed that a VW pulled on him.

There's got to be a stage 2 or 3 GTI somewhere around here..lol

04 s2k here. I have respect for the GTI, but remember a stock s will hold it's own against a fairly modded GTI. Any volunteers?

I never ran against one but i keep up with my friends ACURA 3.2 type S so i pretty sure I could take an s2k! I also can pull away from a roll on my other friends TT 3.2 S, not to many around here, and If there are im pretty sure they would wanna race me! I love this thread! keep it alive! and if a s2k owner comes on here stating a acura 3.2 type S is not a very good comparison to a s2k.....they dont know WTF they are talking about! and should kill themselves!

easy their bud, we all enthusiasts here. This is not a thread for flaming, simple discussion only. S2k are not slow cars by any means. If you refer to my post above I only pulled 1/2 a car at 65 mph roll on a (sounded lightly modded) s2k and I'm stage 2. Meet up with one at the track and let us know how it goes

Ps. you must be REALLY short if you can rub your sack on the hood of a S2K.

Tl Type S on your left Ap2 S2k on your Right
6900 rpm redline as compared to 8300 to 9k depending on year
270 hp/3500 lbs as compared to 240 hp/2700-2800 lb (vert v hardtop)
0-60 6.9 sec compared to 0-60 in 5.9-6.2 (tire/driver dependent)
FF 70/30 as compared to FR 50/50 weight dist
So what have we learned, well;
-The s2k can stay in any given gear longer, launch at a higher Rpm, and stay in peak Vtec power longer than the Tl type s
-The Tl type s puts out good power, but it is far to heavy for its own good (what else do you expect from a luxury sedan) where as the s2k puts out much less power but also weighs in at 700-800 pound lighter (roadsters are lighter then sedans) the Tl has to deal with 13 ponds/hp where the s2k has 11.25.... enough said
-0-60 times ... speak for themselves
-Weight distribution and drive configuration are also obviously in the s2k's favor as Rwd>Awd>Fwd>nothing
-The Tl type s is very quick for a heavy luxury 4 door, but comparing it to a minimalist roadster with a powerband that goes til 9k is just dumb, and claiming they're the same thing and anyone who disagrees can kill themselves is even dumber.
