Default Open front grille

I was searching for parts for my MKV and i came across these i am going to get them it seems cool also it allows more air to flow through to your radiator and brakes. Look at the ones on your MKV the hole is so small look at these huge differnece. ONly $30

I don't think those would really make a great deal of difference to cooling your brakes.. not mounted so far to the inside of the car the 1st thing those hit is the radiator?

look good but i'm happy with the standard non-open vents if it really was braking performance issue VW wold have opened those up them selfs? Less holes in the front (that low down) ....longer my radiator will live from fat-ass stones hitting it!

to be honest, i'm not really a fan of the tinted headlights, first of all it's pretty ****ing stupid to darken the headlights DERRRR kinda defeats the purpose, second i like the car al naturale.

GTFly probably has one of those special codes on his license that doesn't allow him to drive at night anyway.

actually... i should... hahaha. i have bad night vision but not bad enough were i cant drive. my parents dont let me drive past dark anyways so it doesnt really matter. i really only like the tinted headlights because on the silver car the light headlights make it look kinda weird and with them tinted it kind of makes it go with the black on the front bumper also... so i donno. i like it but we all have our own opinions.

I dont think those new grill covers will do anything but cause more are resisitance. If you look in there the whole tire/wheel is surrounded by a shroud, how is any air going to get in to cool the brakes? The other thing is if I had an air intake installed that goes down into that space I would be worried about a wet/dirty/stone beat air filter sitting in there. Not to mention in the winter or dusty conditions filling that space with mud / ect. Any one else have an opinion? But dont get me wrong it looks better LOL

i purpose of the grille is to allow air to the brakes so you get better braking response. It will add stlye. If you that worried about water and stones hitting your CAI then just get a normal intake system. I have it on my car and it looks very nice. I dont have any problems with it at all. But thats my opinion.

Ive taken out my panels to look behind and the wheel is almost totally enclosed in a plastic shroud. I do not think that you are going to gain any brake cooling performance by installing them... Just my 2 cents. BUT they still look cool.
