Default My new FAST!

just got back from the dealer.. bought my 2010 carbon steel GTI 2door. got it 1000 under msrp so i think i got a good deal.

really no options other than dsg and bluetooth but thats how i wanted it.

first mod will be tints (15s or 20s what do u guys think?)

than once its all broken in a little APR work for some extra boost.

pictures tomorrow when i pick the car up if it doesnt snow.

I can't wait to hear how the APR flash works in the 2010. Not sure if you knew but the APR guys are very active on FaceBook (hope this link works) http://www.facebook.com/pages/APR-LL...0685355?ref=ts

They will answer questions / concerns etc.. Good group of folks.

In jersey, anything with more doors than a coupe is considered less of a risk for an insurance company..

anything with as little amount of doors as possible is considered a reason to say no when people ask me for rides, or when i hit the bars and im automaticly disqualified from being the designated driver cause you cant cram 7 drunk idiots inside haha

my APR dealer said not to worry about the break in time... told me that stage 1 only releases power that could be there from the factory but VW decides to hold it back. prob for insurance purposes... and also so that it doesnt push the r32/r20 out of its spot.

the power you get from stg1 puts you at r32 numbers and if it came like that from the factory why would anyone buy the r32. yah i kno its awd but big deal the GTI handles good enough for me

if you are still skeptical about the break in time you can always get the stage1 and just leave it on the stock map untill you feel the car is ready... im coming up on 3000 miles and i gave it a solid break in. i didnt baby it but i didnt push it too hard... only took it into the redline a few times mostly shifted around 4-5k when driving spiritedly

Got my APR stage 1 today and wow

couldnt be any happier
they made it tough to chip the 2010's so it was quite a process... been waiting for over a month.

it was all worth it. i hopped on the highway with the 93 performance tune on and (that was my face during acceleration)

funny story:

my friend didnt believe that my car was fast and INSISTED that his escalade pickup truck could beat me and there was no way i could do 0-60 in under 12 seconds.....needless to say he got a nice view of my taillights from about a 1/4 mile away from a 20 roll hahahaha
