the yellow on the Pirelli is not as rich as the GLI Fahrenheit. Its more of a canary yellow. I like the yellow stiching, but the tread pattern goes a little overboard for me.

I would love to have some of the Euro head rests tho. Anyone know if it's possible to find the euro headrests and put them in the US model?

I think you are talking about the RECARO seats. The recaro seats are only available for the R32. Crazy I would say. I have been searching for a R32 with them on the US market and was wondering why I couldnt find one.

Those are the same headrests that come with any leather equipped GTI. Mine has those, albeit without the yellow stitching.

Must be the leather then. I love the cloth, but wish the head rest design was more like the leather one

The leather seats in the MkV are Recaro designed, but made by (or for) VW.

OOO- I haven't seen those. (Nice!)

My g/f has a few contacts with Recaro- I should see if I could get a set of those. Do they still work with the airbags?

I would love a 230 HP GTI, it would just need a limited slip Differential. This car would be amazing to drive; expensive rubber, plenty of power, cool seats and knowing you have a very rare car.

Those seats are original. Yes they work with the airbag. Here in Europe they are optional, but in Iceland they are standard

So I wonder if those Recaro seats who would work with Schroth's 4 point racing harnesses?? they currently don't work with our seats on the MkV's and no other companies harnesses work either, ON the factory seats ofcourse. I want to get some harnesses but would have to build a roll cage and connect a bar behind the front seats to the belts and blah blah blah, LOTS OF MONEY later I have no usable back seat. But with these, I wonder..............custom order??
