Default What do u think of these wheels?

So, I'm looking at BBS CH "BE - Black Edition" wheels for my 2000 GTI VR6 and it's cosmic green. So, what I need to know is if I can actually pull off a set of black wheels. Now, if I can't pull it off in black, i'm thinking about buying a used silver set and painting them like a gunmetal or something. I also have all my emblems blacked out if that makes any difference. Sry the pic isn't amazing, I did it myself on Microsoft Paint. Please let me know your opinions, thanks.

i think u should b fine wit black rims. pretty much any color car looks ok wit black rims if u think bout it. but since u have the blacked out emblems, it should look better.

Color matched rims FTW, especially because you have a car that color matched would work on

What if he went with black rims and matched the green on his calipers...?

Only prob is it will be really hard to get high heat paint in my colour. I have the VW touch-up paint, but I don't know if it will be able to handle the heat of those calipers.

I don't think I've seen those. I looked em up on google and couldn't find em. You have any pics? I'll take all kinds of suggestions. I'm also contemplating 19" A8L wheels, even tho there are a bunch of GTI's wearing em'

Get em powder coated. Looks better and holds up far better to painting.

And just to throw this out. Get your rims powder coated black or gray (gloss, flat, your choice really), get the lip coated in the same green as your car, and get your calipers done the same green. It'll look hot, and bring everything together.

U mean my current wheels, or the BBS? If so, could anyone do a photoshop of that for me? Just to see what'd look like? I can get more pics if needed.

Heres what Jyden seems to be suggesting.

About a month ago I was on the same path as you. I was trying to black out my 32 rims and add the red euro line and I eventually just crapped out. Maybe youll have better luck

This is as big as I can get it at a decent quality since the original was pretty small.

I just realized you have a Tein sticker, which im guessing your using so you really have a green theme going. I might match the calipers with the Tein spring green as opposed to the body green. Just a thought. Either way this things gonna look good.

lol the tein sticker is gone. I took all my stickers and stuff off. The only thing on my car now is the VW logo's and both are black.

Right but that doesnt mean you took off your bright green tein springs.

Lol, I got the rim idea of a a G35 Sedan featured on an Import Tuner (back when I had a subscription..now they bash VWs) cover. It looked hot on it and it seemed like something you'd want.

As something a bit contrary, maybe trying a purple caliper and adding some purple elsewhere might add a little spice. Just a suggestion there.
