Default Differential

Im looking into buying a MKIV GTI and im trying to find out everything i can and one of the only things i cant seem to find out is what diff they have. Most places when i check into just say something along the lines of Locking Front Differential. Im wondering if that is some kind of helical lsd or if thats just an open diff.

it's a helical lsd, just not a very good one...

most people who put down big numbers upgrade to a peloquin one

They can either go with Quaife or Peloquin. Samething really. But both are awsome. The only problem with Peloquin is they have 2 to 4 week lead times.... Like now... But Quaife is always in stock for me.

Wave track is an other one, made in the US, lifetime warranty, warranty tranferable and is in stock. I have one and work better that the others (at the road course) in the street work just like the stock. Less expensive too. check Autotech or Bildon.com.
