So you got 5% tint. I'm thinking about getting 15% so i can see somewhat at night time.

I leave the front window untinted (or factory tinted, rather) so that I can drive around at night wearing my cool shades.

I have to agree with DrJones.. My last ride was a 2002 Expedition which I had double layer of 2% all around and 20% on the front windshield. At times it was a b*tch to see out the back night or day so i installed a back up camera.

The worse was on a rainy night trying to see any which way..

But I have to stick to the darker the better, here in Miami the temperature in your car can easily break 120 degrees on a sunny day but my expedition always seemed to stay pretty cool inside.

My plan is to keep it basically stock looking... subtle touches.. I want to do a 1 inch drop and some spacers all around. Plus I've heard the 18's are a little harsh on the kidneys.. and my back can't take anymore punishment.

Hey nice car!! Thanks for th pics...I am actually going to buy my FAST in 2-3 weeks. Four door, DSG, package 2 and Huffs...I feel like I made up my mind on everything but the color.
I like Black Magic, but I feel like its too common, and most GTI's I see out on the road are black. I really like the Candy White, but my only problem (which can be modified quickly) is that damn rear plastic bumper!! I talked to my dealer about the VW body kit, but it would be way to expensive to get it installed and painted.
Does that rear grey bumper really stick as much as I think it does? Does it bother anyone else out there with a CW GTI?
thanks

To my eye (architect), one of the most important areas of car design is the proportion of the wheel to the wheel well. I think the 17's will look very good with the 1" drop.

funny you mention that, it is my only concern about the white too..........tough one as you get the nice contrast in the front with the grille, but more contrast at the back bumper where maybe you don't want it........united grey is my alternate.

I think as long as you don't let them get all dried out, you know throw some good vinyl conditioner on there from time to time, you can still make it look classy. With black you kinda have to really acknowledge the color difference, Between the valances and the body... my 2 cents.

We got the white! I also like the way the red tail lights look with the white car, they really pop out making the back look better than the other colours........

Hey guys, I just got my brand new 2007 candy white GTI package 2 with the hufs...what an amazing car!!!

I do have one problem though that I noticed yesterday while cleaning my car.
its pollen season here in MD and that means that its a lot harder to keep my fast clean. The thing is, while cleaning the outside of the car, I kept finding these yellow markings on the car. At first I thought it was just pollen, but it didn't come out. By just looking at the car, its impossible to notice them marks, but when you get up close, they are everywhere. I am going to take her back to the dealer this week to go see if they can fix this problem...I am also going to take some pictures and post them later today..

What do you think it is? could it be a bad paint job? or maybe the car sitting on the dealer lot covered in pollen just messed it up?
