It would help if a couple of the mods, and a few of the members here chilled the f*ck out occasionally. I would hate to see this place turn into the 'tex.

I think people get turned off by the heavy handedness and criticism. It's a free exchange of ideas, and when the mods sh*tcan a DIY because they think it may be too difficult for a noob, it takes the experience away from the rest of us. Especially when they do it in a public thread, and in a condescending manor.

i try to moderate, without moderating.

the things i'll mess with are thread titles (to make things easier to find).. I hate threads like.. "I did..." or "What happens if.." then they finish their question in the thread itself.

Just clearly state what your thread is about.

Cbursten: I really had no idea that DIY meant so much to you. We have an entire thread of DIY's from satisfied MFG contributors, maintained by yours truly.. I meant no disrespect... simply wanted to see how big a risk was involved so we could convey that risk to the New Guys who think it'll pop off and not shatter plastic pieces into their valve cover.

If we still have issues, feel free to take it to PM's.

The DIY didn't mean **** to me; I posted because it was requested by a couple other members. It was the disrespectful manner in which the 'situation' was handled that bothered me.

In this thread, I was simply using it as a posible example of why this forum seems to lose traffic. No big woop.
