Calling all SO. CAL. 4 DR. GTI's/Rabbits

I need your help to resolve my problem.

I am selling a tow hitch that the manufacturer say's only fits '06 - '09 GTI's. I have an interested buyer with a 4 dr.

The problem is that the manufacturer made a new tow hitch that fits almost all '06 - '09 GTI's and Rabbits. I asked them what the difference is between the one I have and the new one. They told me the only thing they see that is different is that the cut out for the exhaust on the new one is wider.

I need Someone in or near Riverside, CA. with an '06 - '09 4 dr. GTI/Rabbit to meet with me so I can see if it will fit your car so I can get this hitch sold.

Try it on the guy's car you're trying to sell it too. Tell him you want to see for yourself that it fits, just to make sure he is satisfied, and there will be no problems.
Don't you have an '07? Try it on your car...
2 door or 4 door shouldn't make a difference, if that's one of the questions you are unclear of. Good luck with the sale.

The guy lives in NY and I am in Cali. I thought that there shouldn't be any difference between the 2 dr and 4 dr but the manufacturer says mine will only fit 2 drs. That is why I want to find a 4 dr to find out the truth. My car is 2 dr the guy who wants to buy it has a 4 dr.

It was on my car, I used it to pull a small u-haul trailer, from Virginia to California.

go to socaleuro.com's events page and find the nearest meet; there's probably at least one 4dr GTI at any given meet. I know Manic Mondays has a UG 4 dr gti. Its an 07 if I remember correctly.
