I actually was very very lucky, my cousin works in research and development at k&n and i got the intake, installation and dyno for free. i havent seen the neuspeed, but i know for the k&n to fit the engine cover has to come off. also, one of the main reasons i went with k&n is that vw can be a major pain in the ass if they find out you do any mods to your car. k&n has an entire legal defense team to go after car manufacturers when they bitch and moan about mods. so i knew if vw complained that the intake did something i just call k&n and let them take care of it.

i have an 08 gti mkv and i have the k@n cold air intake. it fits perfect. but what engine do u have? because i'm pretty sure it doesn't fit on the new engine. When u chip it the sound really doesn't change. You are boosting a lot more so u will hear the turbo. You will hear it when the car is cold pretty well tho. and i went to auto zone and they ordered it straight from k@n. 1 of the guys said he went and told them he found it cheaper online and they gave him a deal. I dunno if the p-flow comes with a heat shield but the k@n does and it helps.

I have an EVOMS. Can't really say much on the HP increase but i can tell you that the throttle response has improved and the blow off noise is something that you'll never get tired of. Costs quite a bit more than most but imo the design seems a bit more sturdy.

I was also looking at the K&N. It shouldn't void the warranty right?

Also is installation pretty simple or is it best to get a professional to do it?

How does it affect gas mileage?

I drive an 08 with the FSI Engine as well and it looks like most places online are selling it for $266, sound about right?

Thanks

Haha 18hp from a CAI. That was misleading info. I saw that before and they admitted it was false data. No intake gives gains that big. Go got the P-flow no doubt.

i paid a little under 300 for mine with tax. it doesn't void the warranty. for mpgs it went up about 1 mpg so nothing really.

i don't know for sure but i don't see why one would have a lot more then the other. i have the k&n and i recommend it. But i don't think u can go wrong either way.

im getting an evoms intake installed today so we will see how that goes, but i heard it might be better because it has a 3 inch pipe instead of a 2 1/2, so that might make a difference.
