Oil Leak, PCV Valve
Hey everyone. Im fairly new to my gti, but ive been burning through oil like crazy. I did an oil change on 12/20/12 and today on my way to work i was empty. I work at a dealership and had a tech look at it and he gave me a weird noncomprehending answer but did say my PCV valve was bad. I took it to a VW dealer and they will be diagnosing the issue tomorrow. I have an 07 gti and the pcv "recall" has already been done to my car unfortunately it is broken again. My question is, i plan on going stage 1 or 2 in the near future. Is there another solution or do i just buy a new oem pcv valve and put it on? I have an Intake, dp, and a "D" valve.
Thanks
Also. any ideas how im going through so much oil?

Re: Oil Leak, PCV Valve
The FSI engine is known to burn through a lot of oil between changes.. and the pcv system in our cars are also known the be kinda crap so a lot of people get rid of it and get a catch can or PCV fix plate
Also check your oil filter housing as well since its only plastic and could of cracked if over torqued..
