So about 8k miles ago i got a brand new engine because the stealership blew my engine from leaving shards of the cam follower in the engine after replacing the hpfp under the warranty for it. I had 90k miles on it when i got it done, and now i have the new engine and a 100k mile warranty on it, but i'm getting really tired of the stock power. Just like title says. Was stage 1 for a couple months and loved it. Just flashed stage 2 yesterday with Unitronic dp and love it even more. Quite a bit more power up to almost all the way to redline, whereas before it would really drop off in higher RPMs. It actually is much easier to drive in general now. At stage 1, first gear felt almost like an on/off switch and the torque would just kick in so quickly without barely touching the gas pedal. Now it requires more travel which makes it nicer... I had my car APR'd about 6 months ago... had to replace two ignition coils but other than that, no issues. I was driving this morning and I got an EPC light, and my power was limited, although there was no shakiness or rough idling. I turned the car off and back on and got a CEL, but no power limitation this time.

I run 93 fuel and use the 93 tune. I put it into stock mode and my CEL went away and the car felt normal, although I only drove about 2 miles. I haven't tried putting... [Read More]

I have a 2012 GTI. I've posted before about a weird issue with my ipod where it plays each song starting 2 seconds into it. Very annoying. If I go to the dealer with this problem, is there any way they'd write it up and just GIVE me a new ipod cable? (I'm talking about the short black interface cable in the armrest) It seems like a colossal waste of everyone's time to bring my car in and have it be there for hours for a cable.
