So I finally decided to make a thread where I can talk about my car, give updates, and dump images and ideas. No more cluttering the forums with threads.
Upgrades: APR Stage 1, P-flow intake, Bailey Motorsports DV, tinted side markers and corner lights, blacked out emblems.
Mods: Rear windshield wiper delete, badgeless, grape purple tow hooks and ash trays, half tinted tailights.
So a few weeks ago I bout a CPO '06 MKV. After a few days of driving I noticed a griding or whining when I stepped on the accelerator at ~2-2.5k RPM's. It sounds like it is coming from the right side of the engine, it is really bizarre but I am not sure what could be causing it. Since it is CPO, I would assume that they would have noticed if it was something serious. Does anyone have any idea what it might be and if I should be worried? If so, should I take it to... ok so when i launch the car from a stop it gets to about 4,000 rpms and the engine starts to cut out. i have to let off the gas and resume driving. now when this happens the PCU light (i think, i only saw it quickly) came on. not quite sure what this means but its definately not driving right. any ideas?
I've got this fairly constant rubbing noise coming from the of the car ('07 6speed 45k). If the backing plate were touching the rotor, I imagine it would sound just like the noise I'm hearing. But, I put the front of the car up in the air and rotate the wheels, and there's no noise, so I suspect that's not the problem.
